Built on a cloud-native architecture, Cove enables faster and more frequent backups with improved recovery point objectives (RPOs) by transferring less data than traditional methods.

A standout feature of Cove is its automated backup immutability through the Fortified Copies functionality introduced in October 2024. These backups are inherently secure against alterations or deletions by threat actors because they cannot be accessed via the management console, API, or command-line interface—providing essential protection against ransomware attacks. This feature is integral to the platform’s cyber resilience strategy, which also includes Anomaly Detection as a Service (ADaaS) for proactive threat detection.

Cove stores data in a private network of globally distributed data centers to ensure regional data residency and security.
